Facebook user Keenon Lee Pei Hong recently posted on the Facebook page Complaint Singapore stating on how the MOM allegedly released his workers even though they did not fulfill the full 21 days that they were supposed to be quarantined for. He did state that his workers took a total of 3 swab and blood tests and they all tested negative. The workers were released from the quarantine facility but to this horror, one of his workers showed that he had a confirmed active COVID status. The funny part was that MOM had no idea that the workers were released from the facility.

I want to complaint!
My workers just came back from Bangladesh and were supposed to be quarantined for 21 days in total. They have taken 3 swabs and blood test and they tested negative.
We were told by the quarantine facility manager yesterday to pick our workers up from the facility today even though it hasn’t been 21 days. Our workers have confirmed blood test 2 days ago that they are negative for COVID. However, after they were “kicked out” we realised that one of my workers pass showed that he had a confirmed active COVID status!
We don’t have anywhere to go, and the instructions are for the workers to stay isolated somewhere and wait for MOM to call and contact my worker directly. However, we didn’t have time to wait, so we called MOM directly and enquired on what to do next. Much to our surprise, MOM didn’t even know that they were released! They just kept saying wait and have no concrete direction. So now, in order to keep my workers safe and to be responsible to everyone. I have to let them sleep in our office and evacuate our office. If I check them into a hotel, they will potentially infect more people and this can spiral out of control.
The dormitory will not admit them because they have a active COVID status.
I’m just absolutely pissed that my workers have to sleep in my office and I don’t even have a timeline on when it is ok for them to go back to work or if it was just a false alarm.
We pay money for the quarantine of the entire 21 days, why did they kick them out? Are this facilities even run by MOM? How can they not know that they are checking people out earlier and with a positive status?! What is MOM doing!
