MOS BURGER STAFF PUNCH TABLE & THROW ITEMS AFTER ELDERLY CO-WORKER MIXED UP ORDERS

An incident occurred at a MOS Burger outlet at Toa Payoh HDB Hub, when an elderly worker mistakenly mixed up two orders, causing a visible display of anger from his younger co-worker. The incident was captured in a body camera from a Grabfood delivery rider and posted online on 6 June.

The video showed an elderly staff member handing out orders. When the rider informed the staff about the mix-up, a younger worker pointed to the elderly employee and acknowledged the mistake. The GrabFood rider reassured them that it was alright as long as they rectified the error.

Inside the kitchen, the younger worker appeared agitated while preparing a replacement order and slammed the kitchen counter loudly, as he continued to show signs of displeasure, moving around angrily and slamming things around the kitchen and counter, seemingly venting his frustration.

Concerned, the GrabFood rider uneasily requested the elderly staff member to relax and take it slow. The elderly worker lingered outside the kitchen, trying to avoid his angry colleague.

After some time, the enraged worker stormed out of the kitchen, and swiped items off a table behind the counter, causing them to clatter to the ground.

Despite the few customers present, the commotion drew attention, especially from those near the counter. The rider assured a diner sitting by the counter that he had recorded everything on his camera. He cautioned her about eating there, noting the staff’s current mood, and advised entering customers to leave.

MOS Burger responded to the incident by issuing a statement, expressing their serious concern and regret over the distress caused.
