My Daughter is about to start university in the UK… What safety items Should i get her?
So she’s off to university and Where her halls are is about a 20-minute walk away. At the moment its not too bad but come winter it can be quite dark.
Most of the route is well lit however the last 5-10 minutes you walk through a bit of a rough estate and next to a park.
Now pepper spray is illegal in the UK and the Mace stuff from what i’ve read is mostly a spray with colouring – its legal to sell it but illegal to carry or use it. what are the alternatives to this? if anyone has mace can you recommend one? i’d rather she still have something like this than not.
the other thing I was going to get her was a rape alarm just to clip on her bag or something.
is there anything else I could get for her?
