An engaged couple in their 20s were on their motorcycle when they got reportedly rear-ended by a Mercedes and dragged under the car in an accident.
Shin Min Daily News reported that the accident took place on 17 October at about 8pm along Petir Road in Bukit Panjang.
The 36-year-old stepfather of the female victim, told SMDN that the car had rear-ended their motorcycle after the motorcycle slowed down while passing a hump.
The motorcycle was then stuck under the car and got dragged for about 4 metres on the road, with the female victim then video-calling her stepfather to tell him about what happened.
A passer-by then took over her phone and told him about the accident that happened to his stepdaughter, and both of them (the injured couple) was then sent to the hospital with her fiance being unconscious.
The male victim fractured his limbs, while his fiancee suffered a 7cm long laceration on her leg, and both of them underwent surgery.
A 38-year-old driver is also assisting the police with their investigations.
