M’SIAN ANTI-CORRUPTION OFFICERS CHEATED VICTIM OF $13K, CHARGED

According to Malaysian Gazette, two anti-corruption enforcement officers from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) were charged in a Malaysian court on 21 October with cheating.

Amir Izham Isahak and Wan Kamarul Zaim Wan Mansor had allegedly cheated a victim of about RM40,000 (or SGD $13,000).

They told the victim that they were going to help him with an ongoing investigation and help him resolve it.

The former pleaded guilty while the latter pleaded not guilty.

They were then seen running out of the courtroom and hiding their faces from the photographers.

One of the officers then fell down the stairs as he was running out of the courtroom.
