A Malaysian recently posted on YouTube on his frustration after he was sentence to DB when he came back to Singapore.

He stated that he returned to Malaysian in April and ICA actually gave him the green light to return for 2 weeks. Many Singaporeans have stated that ICA would most definitely allow him to go back, but the application of an exit permit is still a must for NS personnel.
Some Singaporeans on Hardwarezone even alleged that the reason why he was sent to DB was his fault as he did not apply an exit permit. Some also stated that he may have AWOL or did not apply for leave but he still left for Malaysia.
