I (28 M) recently broke off with my ex (26 F) on the day of our BTO Flat Selection.
I gave her an ultimatum to clearly cut things off with her ex-es / other XDDs off with a message, she has been flirting / texting with them on/off throughout the 3 years plus we have been together.
She flat out refused to execute on that, choosing to take the easy way out by proposing to block their numbers etc
The ultimatum was a test of where her heart is
We got together late 2019 just when the covid pandemic was starting, started cohabitating with her and her two kids from her previous marriage just after CB. Treated her kids as my own and did my best to educate and teach them the right values. At the same time, I also had to help out with my aged parents (74 M) and (73 F). Last year, my father’s dementia has been getting to a much more severe stage whereby he will get violent in wanting to leave the house and end up missing for days on end.
90% of my time and energy has been spent on caring for her son (7M) and daughter (5F) and my parents, coupled with work, I have been stretched beyond my limits and am on the verge of depression.
Her excuse for enjoying talking shits with these boys was that they will “play a fool” with her while I am either just work or being a couch potato at my computer (that’s the rare time where I get to recharge).
For the BTO, we were registering with her as unemployed, i.e. the loan will probably be taken out wholly in my name. She made a verbal contract to reimburse by cash. But on paper, I will be the one liable. Her education level makes it hard for her to repay me my share should we ever divorce. I don’t want to take away shelter from kids nor do I want to take money that can be used on them to cover my share.
She has met with them for a few times, there was even one fight whereby we were fighting about the guy featured in the above screenshot and the following dialogue happened.
