The mother of an autistic boy who had his phone allegedly smacked to the ground by Cristiano Ronaldo after Manchester United suffered a 1-0 lost to Everton Football Club has refused CR7’s apology offer to meet.
The mother, Sarah Kelly, said that one of the representatives of CR7 had contacted her after the incident took place and despite the reconciliation attempt by CR7, Kelly has said that he has nothing to say to him.
Continued to blast CR7’s actions
In commenting on the footballer’s actions, Kelly blasted his actions and said that as her son as autism, he is unable to perceive things from a point of view of a normal human being.
She also said that she is a ‘Blue’ (referring to supporters of Everton Football Club) and there is no way a ‘Blue’ will want to go to a ‘Red’ (referring to supporters of Manchester United Football Club).
Commented on CR7’s Instagram apology
Kelly also commented on CR7’s Instagram apology by saying that if he was really genuinely sorry and had sportsmanship like he claimed in his apology, he should have picked up her son’s phone on the spot right after smacking it, returned to him and apologised on the spot.
Offered tickets by Everton Football Club
Everton Football Club had also offered tickets to the mother and son pair and Kelly said that her son will definitely want to go back to Everton for a game but would not want to sit near where the alleged incident between Ronaldo and him happened as it brings back bad memories for him.
She also claimed that ever since the incident, she has received lots of comments which are not pleasing online ever since she spoke out publicly.
These comments were mainly made by Manchester United fans as claimed by Kelly.
Kelly also said that she is currently waiting for an officer from the Police at Merseyside to visit her to discuss the matter further.
