He see people making big bucks and he also want to try his luck. He say, “Wah, can make fast cash one, why not?” But I tell him, “Bro, it’s not so simple lah!”
He very kiasu, want to make money fast-fast. In just five days, he go and invest a lot of money, thinking he can strike it rich. But in the end, he lost S$11,000! I was like, “Aiyoh, how can like that?” He thought he could just play around and make quick profits, but the market no play play one.
Every day, he keep checking his phone, hoping to see the numbers go up. But instead, it just kept going down. I can see he getting more and more stressed. I tried to tell him, “Eh, you need to do your homework first, don’t just jump in like that!” But he was too excited, thinking he can outsmart the market.
All gone
After he lost all that money, he was so down. He keep saying, “Why I so stupid? Should have listened to you.” I felt bad for him, but at the same time, I also wanted to remind him that investing is not just about luck. It takes time, research, and a lot of patience.
Now he’s more careful, but still, I think he learned a hard lesson. Sometimes, fast cash can come with big risks. I hope he can recover from this and maybe next time, he’ll think twice before diving into the stock market or forex again.
