My bro’s Best Man slept with the bride a few days before the wedding ceremony. I’m the only other person who knows

Context: My good friend (let’s call him A) got married last weekend at a fancy hotel in Orchard. A is the ultimate good guy—super hardworking, treats his wife like a queen, paid for 80% of their BTO renovation, and basically spent his entire life savings to give her the dream wedding.

His Best Man (B) has been A’s buddy since secondary school. The bride (C) was always a bit of a party girl back in uni, but recently seemed to have settled down.

Or so we all thought.

How I Found Out

A few days before the actual wedding, we had a small staycation gather-up at a hotel suite to prep the logis, pack the angbaos, and assemble the wedding favors. A had to leave early that night because he needed to pick up his overseas relatives from Changi Airport.

I left around midnight, but realized halfway on the MRT that I left my car keys and wallet on the side table in the suite. I took a Grab straight back up to get my stuff.

When I tapped back into the room using the spare keycard, I walked straight into the bedroom area and caught B and C in the middle of it. A few days before the wedding. In the suite paid for by A.

It wasn’t even a “drunk mistake” situation—they were completely sober. They scrambled, C started tearing up begging me not to say anything, and B pulled me outside to the corridor, panicking, literally clutching my shoulders and telling me, “Bro, please, it was just a final goodbye thing, it meant nothing, don’t destroy A’s life right before his big day.”

I was in absolute shock. I wanted to punch B right then and there, but my mind was completely frozen.

The Banquet Nightmare

Fast forward to the wedding day itself, I had to sit through the entire 8-course banquet, smile for photos, and pretend everything was fine.

The absolute worst part? Watching B stand up during the toasts, hold his wine glass, and deliver a 5-minute speech about “loyalty, brotherhood, and how lucky A is to marry such a pure, wonderful woman.”

I almost threw up my abalone soup right onto the table.

The Dilemma

Now the wedding is over. The ROM is signed. The angbaos are collected. They are currently on their honeymoon in Europe.

Right now, the status quo is:

  • Bride (C) knows I caught them.
  • Best Man (B) knows I caught them.
  • I know.
  • Husband (A) has ZERO idea. He thinks his wife is an angel and his Best Man is his brother for life.

I feel sick to my stomach every time A posts a story on Instagram showing them smiling in Paris. B texted me twice reminding me to “take this secret to the grave for A’s happiness.”

If I tell A, I destroy his marriage, his finances, his mental health, and his trust in humanity right at the start of his married life. If I don’t tell him, I’m letting my bro live a total lie with a cheating wife and a snake for a best friend.

TL;DR: Caught my bro’s Best Man sleeping with the bride a few days before the wedding banquet. Only the three of us know. They are currently on their honeymoon. Do I blow up his life now or keep quiet forever?
