Wah, let me share this story that I swear is 100% real – up to you whether you believe or not lah. Few years ago hor, I moved into this resale HDB flat in Bedok with my wife. The agent got good deal, price below valuation somemore, so we thought shiok sia! But after first week, something start to feel sibei weird.
Every night around 3am, confirm got knocking sound at the kitchen wall. At first I tot neighbour knocking pipe, but when I check next day, neighbour say they all sleeping that time leh. The knocking always same timing, same pattern – like tok-tok…tok – steady one.
One night, I boh tahan, I on all the lights, stand in the kitchen with broom like ghostbuster, wait for the sound. Suddenly cold wind blow, but all window closed leh! Then I hear whisper behind my ear, like someone say “Go…” – wah, I almost pang jio sia. My wife also hear, we both run out of kitchen like siao.
We called a Taoist master come see see, he say the place “got history”, last time one uncle stay here alone, passed away inside, body only found few weeks later. Master did some chanting, burn incense, then tell us place is clean liao.
After that hor, really no more sound, everything peaceful again. But sometimes late at night, I still feel like someone watching me, especially when I forget to offer joss sticks during 7th month. My wife say I think too much, but I swear hor, this kind of thing don’t play play.
So ah, if you see HDB unit below market price, better go check history first, else later you got free “housemate” you never invite, regret also too late lor!
