It all started a few weeks ago when I noticed my girlfriend had grown a moustache. At first, I didn’t think much of it. Maybe she was just experimenting with her look or didn’t have the time to keep up with the waxing. But then it kept getting darker and darker, and I started to feel uncomfortable about it.
I didn’t want to hurt her feelings and I also didn’t want to make her feel self-conscious about her appearance.
But I knew I had to say something. After all, I care about her and want her to feel confident and beautiful in her own skin.
The first thing I did was talk to a few female friends. They told me that I should approach the topic delicately and make sure to explain why I’m bringing it up. I also asked them how they would feel if their significant other did the same thing.
Most of them said that they’d be embarrassed and would want their partner to bring it up in a gentle manner.
So I kind of drag it out lah, but she started to ask why am I not making out with her or even kissing her. I joke a bit la, eh if i want kiss Muthu I go find a muthu.
She got very angry
So, I decided to take their advice and talk to my girlfriend about her moustache. I made sure to tell her that I love her and find her attractive no matter what. I also explained that I care about her and want her to feel good about herself.
Then, I asked her if she wanted help getting rid of the moustache.
At first, she was hesitant to talk about it and seemed a bit embarrassed. But then she opened up and told me that she had been thinking about getting rid of it but wasn’t sure how to do it. I told her that I could help her out and offered to take her to the salon for waxing or laser hair removal.
The next day, we headed to the salon and got her moustache waxed off. She was a bit nervous at first but after the procedure was done, she couldn’t stop smiling. She was so relieved that it was gone and thanked me for helping her out.
