BEWARE OF CAMERA SCAMMERS!
Dear friends,
For those who are into camera rental via carousel or other social media platform, please beware of this rentee who will scam you off your cameras!
I had recently rented out my Canon 5d Mark iii(serial number 078024006182) and a 85mm f1.2 lens attached to it to this rentee, Ameera binte Azman and she went M.I.A with my camera.
I believe this might be a syndicate as during the collection she was dropped off by a luxury car(white BMW 6 series with plate number) and was picked up by another luxury car(Black Audi A4).
When she failed to return the camera, we found out that she had scammed other carousel renters and the address that was provide was also vacant. She is also known to have various contact numbers.
Reports have been made but police are not able to do much as this is considered a breach of contract and not classified as stolen goods.
Please help to spread the word around and stop her from stealing more cameras.
