Dear Fellow Patriotic Singaporeans & Friends,
First & foremost, I would like to thank each & everyone of you for giving your strong support to having a 2017 Open Presidential Election. As of to-date, we have a resounding vote of 9,945 Supporters for this Petition.
Alas, this Open Presidential Election was not to be. At least, I was hopeful that we’ll have a Contested Reserved Presidential Election so that Singaporeans will be given the right to exercise their Vote. Even this did not come to fruition.
Madam Halimah Yacob, who will be the 8th President of Singapore, has promised ” to do the best I can to serve the people of Singapore”. I wish her all the best to Unify Singapore & bring Singapore to greater heights which Singaporeans will be proud of.
With a heavy heart, I’m closing this Petition.
On a happier note, there’s still hope for Singapore with people like you who Stood Up & Be Counted especially when there is nothing much to gain personally. All of you personify Singapore in the can do spirit & never to give up despite the odds.
I would like to end with our National Pledge once again :
We, the Citizens of Singapore
pledge ourselves as one united people,
regardless of race, language or religion,
to build a democratic society
based on justice and equality
so as to achieve happiness, prosperity and progress for
our nation.
