Member of Parliament, Louis Ng Kok Kwang, has posted on facebook saying that his motion on “Using deterrence to tackle secondhand smoke in homes” was not selected and therefore he won’t be able to speak up on this in Parliament this month.
He also said that he won’t give up and will try his best to push hard to change our policies.
Netizens on Facebook have been divided by this issue with some supporting this movement and some are against it.
One netizen feels that smokers are already pressured so much and it is hard to find a place in Singapore to smoke properly and now they want to ban smoking even in our own homes.
Another felt that this move is in the right direction as secondhand smoke is deadly.
