A & W was once a forgotten food and went missing in 2003 after all outlets closed down and it became a memory for many people’s childhood but it has returned in Singapore. With five outlets islandwide.
The current outlets are in Ang Mo Kio, Jewel Changi, Canberra view and Jurong West.
A&W over 100 years old
A&W Restaurants is a fast-food restaurant brand in the United States known for its burgers, draft root beer, and root beer floats. Its beginnings may be traced back to 1919, when Roy W. Allen set up a roadside drink stand in Lodi, California, to promote a new thick and creamy drink, root beer, at a parade commemorating returning World War I soldiers.
Believe or not the A&W brand is 103 years old.
5th Outlet
According to A&W’s Facebook page, a new outlet has opened at Northshore Plaza II (418 Northshore Dr. Unit 1-01/02/03).
This outlet will be open from 10 AM to 10 PM.
