With the recent amounts of phishing scams such as the OCBC saga and many more. Netizen’s are actively sharing scam tactics used to help each other.
Netizens recently posted on Facebook with a screenshot of an email pretending to be from M1.
Another netizen received the same email and said that he has received an email in the same format, but he is not a customer of M1.
The email includes a link to a fake website.
The format of the email is as follows:
Dear Customer, The total balance for your M1 Account XXXXXXXX as of 28 Dec 2021 is $89 05. Amount due (where applicable) will be automatically deducted from your card . We have noticed that you have paid your invoice twice at the same time. You can now viewyour Refund bill, click here and log in with your M1 ID.
This is a system-generated e-mail. Please do not reply to this email. Thank you.

Latest scam pretending M1. SMS telling you that you have paid your bill twice but both accounts are not yours. Most people do not remember their account number and will click on it to see the details. Scammer knew the monthly bill amount for standard subscription packages from M1.”
