
The Worker’s Party has just won Sengkang GRC and it seems that they are already on their way for making plans for their new stronghold.
Media reports had stated that they had wasted no time and have already reached out to the managing agents of Pasir Ris-Punggol and Ang Mo Kio town council on the take over of their newly won GRC.
Word was abuzz that WP’s Sengkang team leader He Tingru had mentioned this today in Press conference and other details on this proposal will be updated later.
He had said during the press conference that:
“We’ve started our meetings, we started talking to the various people to make sure that you know, there’s a seamless handover,” he said.
During which, WP chief Pritam Singh shared that they will follow in accordance with guidelines and co-ordinate with the respective managing agents.
He also shared that the newly elected MPs will issue a statement or press release on this matter to announce these details to the residents.
He also gave reference on WP’s takeover of the Aljunied Town Council in 2011, sharing that the former experience should:
