The Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern was having a press conference about her country’s Covid-19 plans when an earthquake interrupted her press conference.
A reporter was directing a question to the PM when earthquake tremors were felt around the room.
Ardern gripped the podium for a bit after noticing the tremors before the smiled at the reporter and said:
“Ah sorry, a slight distraction. Would you mind repeating that question?”
According to ABC News, Ardern told the journalists that the earthquake was so mild, Deputy Prime Minister Grant Roberson thought it was just strong winds.
The New Zealand PM has a reputation for keeping her cool during crises.
