With the easing of COVID-19 measures, businesses such as nightlife entertainment outlets are now back in full swing.

In order to detect fire safety violations and illegal activities, and to promote safety awareness among members of public, joint inspections by members of the Home Team are conducted regularly.

Yesterday night, a joint inspection was held by Singapore Police Force and SCDF at various public entertainment outlets during their opening hours.

Apart from inspecting for licensing and employment related offences, general fire hazards, infringements such as overcrowding, unauthorised fire safety works and change of use, were also checked as part of the inspection.
