In a several videos that has since gone viral on social media yesterday (15 May), showing a woman who refused to put on a mask and challenged a Safe Distancing Ambassador to show her “badge”.
She was seen saying: “If you have no badge, don’t speak to me”.
The police have now confirmed that they are investigating the 53-year-old woman for breaching safe-distancing measures and for being a public nuisance.
The police said that they received a call for assistance on 15 May, at around 5.14pm at MBS, where the woman allegedly entered the building despite refusing to put on a mask after being told repeatedly by an SDA to do so.
The auntie was also seen in other videos doing the same, trying to enter other buildings and malls without a mask and getting into arguments with the building staffs who refused her entry.
She was also seen shopping for groceries as a supermarket without her mask on, and in a separate photo circulating online, she was also seen being confronted by the police for not wearing a mask.
The police said:
“We would like to take this opportunity to remind all visitors to act responsibly by masking up at all times, especially as we enter a period of heightened alert over Covid-19.”
“Our Safe Distancing Ambassadors can be identified through their uniforms, and are tasked to approach visitors to adhere to Safe Management Measures.”
