NO MORE COVID TESTS NEEDED FOR FULLY VAXXED INCOMING TRAVELERS FROM 26 APRIL

The Ministry of Health announced yesterday (22 April) that from 26 April onwards, fully vaccinated travelers who are entering Singapore by air or sea, will no longer need to take a pre-departure test (PDT).

This effectively means that incoming travelers who are fully vaccinated will not need to take any tests to enter the country.

At the moment, travelers who are fully vaccinated need to take a pre-departure test two days before their departure.

Also, non fully vaccinated travelers under 12-years-old will also not be required to do a PDT as well.

Fully vaccinated non-Malaysian work permit holders also don’t need to apply for entry approvals to enter Singapore from 1 May onwards.

They will instead be required to book a slot at a centre for their onboarding once arrived, and this including non-Malaysian work permit holders with an in-principle approval in the CMP sectors (construction, marine shipyard and process).

The entry requirements for non-fully vaccinated travelers, however, remain the same, and they will have to take a PDT within 2 days before departing for Singapore, go through a 7-day SHN, and take a PCR test at the end of their SHN.

Long-term pass holders and short-term visitors who are not fully vaccinated will not be allowed to enter Singapore.

However, exceptions are made for LTPHs who are medically ineligible for the vaccines, LTPHs and STVs with other valid entry approvals such as compassionate reasons, and those LTPHs between 13 to 17-years-old.
