Following the Covid-19 infection of a doctor, nurse and 3 patients at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), the hospital has announced on a Facebook post that no visitors will be allowed in the wards until further notice.

TTSH explained that this is part of the necessary measures responding to the infections from the hospital.
An unnamed source from TTSH has said that the hospital ward is in a “lockdown”, and that they are checking with staff members and contractors if they have gone to the affected wards between 18 and 28 April.
Context
Among the infected staff members is a 46-year-old female nurse from the Philippines who was deployed at Ward 9D.
She developed a cough, sore throat and body aches on 27 April, before seeking treatment at TTSH.
Her test results came back positive for the coronavirus and she was warded at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) on the same day.
The nurse had received her first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on 26 January and her second dose on 18 February.
Among the other affected parties are a doctor and 3 other patients in the same ward.
