A 21-year-old full-time national serviceman pleaded guilty to one count each of harassment and in possession of obscene materials. He was caught taking videos of various men’s private parts while they were in the shower.
According to the court documents, the victim was a 23-year-old full-time national serviceman who was taking a shower while in camp around May last year. While the victim was in the shower, the accused placed his mobile phone over the divider and took a video of the victim.
The accused was caught by the victim in the act and the victim shouted loudly. The accused then ran out of the toilet immediately. On 14 Jun 2019, the police were alerted by the camp’s military police after several obscene videos of various men were found in the accused phone.
During the investigations, the accused admitted that he has been downloading obscene materials from the internet and it was also found that the accused has been taking videos of unidentified men while in the toilet.
The victims were targeted when they were either showering or urinating
The case has been adjourned to 28 Dec 2020 for sentencing.
