NUS STUDENT CHARGED WITH FILMING WOMEN SHOWERING IN HOSTEL

Jonathan Angga Dharmawan Jie was charged on Friday (June 5) for taking videos of women showers in the hostel. He is currently facing four counts of insulting a woman’s modesty, one count of criminal trespass and another of possessing obscene films.

The Singaporean took a total of four videos over a four hour time span in the morning of Aug 28. Angga’s candidature is currently suspended till 2022. He is also barred from entering the campus premises till 2022.

After serving his suspension, he will be need to be certified fit to return by the University Health Centre before he can resume his studies.

He is currently out on bail for $15,000. Those who are convicted of secretly filming others now face up to two years jail, a fine or both.
