According to the media release, obscene materials of 300 women have been leaked online. It is believed that most of the victims were Singaporean, these obscene materials were stored on a cloud database.
According to the media, the content stored on the cloud storage was well organised. Each folder was believed to be named after the woman involved or their social media accounts.
Among the 300 women, some of them are Singaporean social influencer and models. There is a total of 554 folders which contains 33,949 media files stored in the database.
A small portion of the contents are women from different countries including Taiwan, China and Hong Kong.
It is prohibited to publish obscene content in Singapore. According to the law, anyone convicted will face a jail term not exceeding 3 years or a fine not exceeding $10,000 or both.
