Sweaty OL problems
Qn for the ladies.
I (27F) have been a sweaty girl since young. I only wear stripes/white/black clothing because if not there will be super, super obvious armpit and bewb sweat stains.
Even though I work in an air conditioned office I still manage to sweat through my clothes when I go out for lunch with my colleagues and it shows quite distinctly if I wear anything other than white or black.
My self esteem has been affected pretty badly due to this issue. My fiancé once commented “can’t believe someone so chio can sweat like a pig without doing anything”.
He didn’t dare to say it again after I cried about it lol. But I do get self conscious that other people will think the same way if they saw my sweat stains.
I envy the girls who can wear nice pastel colours to work without having to worry about problems like this. I have tried deodorants like super dri and while they stop the sweat production, it turns my underarms dark so I try to avoid it. Botox costs $1000 per underarm every 6 months so that is not a viable option.
Anyone managed to stop excessive sweating through other means? I have been underweight my whole life so probably weight isn’t a factor. I also don’t get acne/pimples so I guess hormones can be ruled out? I go for long jogs 2 times a week but still continue to sweat a lot on normal days. Just wishing I can lead a normal life and wear more colours

- Visit the doctor, we cannot help you.
It may be something as simple as overactive sweat glands to a metabolism issue since you’ve mentioned you are underweight to something as serious as thyroid dysfunction or even anxiety issues.
Best course of action is to visit a trained medical practitioner to solve your problem. - i rmb reading abt it somewhere, u can try sticking panty liners in ur sleeves to absorb the armpit sweat
- Hello fellow sweater 💦 my wardrobe is mostly black and/or super dark shades because of this, and post birth it’s even worse (thank you hormones).
I’m in sleeveless 90% of the time, I gotta make sure the arm holes in clothes are large so there’s space for pits to breathe. The weather here is wretchedly humid unfortunately. Material matters. Good perfume helps, and regular showers, also trips to the toilet to dab off sweat. The pastel life ain’t for me either. Or cute sleeves 🥲
Though I find your fiancé’s comment hella rude and completely uncalled for.
