A video which was viral back in 2018 has resurfaced on social media again.
The video was a dispute between a teacher and a student from Whitley secondary school and the teacher was seen pulling the shirt of the student.
Although a teacher has the right to scold and educate a student but using physical means is strictly prohibited.
Even if the student were to get canned the parents must be informed and consent must be sought before doing any physical punishments to students.
The video shows a female teacher who dragged the student out of his seat by his collar and the student was seen checking his T-shirt after getting pulled.
The students in the class were heard shouting as the incident happens. A few of the students were seen recording the incident and later uploading it on to social media.
One can imagine how angry the teacher might have gotten.
Back then, the school explained that the teacher was trying to get the student out of the class as the student’s behaviour has disrupted the class learning.
However, doing so further disrupts the class from learning.
The school also stated that the teacher is a relief teacher. But it is unclear if the woman is still working as a teacher.
