OLD MAN USED OFFICE COMPUTER TO WATCH “VIDEOS”, THINK WON’T GET CAUGHT BY I.T DEPT

I’ve been working in the IT department of my company for a little over two years now, and I was recently tasked with a rather unfortunate situation.

I was working late one night, when I noticed that one of the elderly staff members was using the office computer to watch adult films. It was quite a shock, as this particular individual had been with the company for many years and seemed to be a model employee.

It was a difficult situation to handle, as the individual in question was not a young person and had been with the company for a long time. I didn’t want to be too hard on the person, but I couldn’t just ignore the situation. After much deliberation, I decided to issue the staff member a warning letter.

In the warning letter, I outlined the company’s policy regarding the inappropriate use of office computers and warned the employee that any further violations would result in disciplinary action. I also explained that the company takes its policies seriously and that this warning should be seen as a serious matter.

The employee was naturally contrite and apologetic, and he seemed to understand the severity of the situation. He was also very understanding about the warning letter, which was a relief.

After the incident, I took the time to review our company’s policies and procedures and to ensure that they are up to date and that everyone is aware of them. I also conducted some training sessions with the staff to make sure they understand how to use the office computers responsibly and that they are aware of the consequences of inappropriate use.

I’m grateful that the incident with the elderly staff member was able to be resolved without any major issue. It was a difficult situation to handle, but I’m glad that I was able to do it in a way that respected the employee’s long service to the company.

I’m also relieved that the warning letter served as a reminder to all staff to use the office computers responsibly, and that our company policies are now being followed properly.
