Earlier last year, news from various sources reported in July 2017 wrote that there will be a smoking ban at Orchard Road by July 2018.

But since last months reports NEA reported that Orchard will be a smoke-free zone the due date will be by End 2018. The 6 months extension is due to business in the area requesting more times to prepare for this change at Orchard road.
Smokers will need to go to the following designated areas for a smoke.
5 of the smoking point
- Behind Somerset MRT station
- Cuppage Terrace
- Far East Plaza
- Orchard Towers
- The Heeren
Currently, more smoking areas are being built up. The total number as of now is 40 smoking points.(we will post the full list after we have it)Â So keep calm and puff along.
