Paramjeet Kaur,41-years-old, aka the original “Sovereign”, pleaded guilty on 7 May to 7 charges, including breaching Covid-19 regulations, public nuisance, failing to report her change of home address and refusing to sign her statement at a police station.
The other charges will be considered during sentencing.

Kaur was caught on camera claiming that she was a “sovereign” after refusing to put on her mask at Shunfu Mart in May last year.
She then got into a heated argument with passers-by and was heard saying, “It means I have nothing to do with the police, it means I have no contract with the police. They have no say over me.”
Even Law Minister chimed in and commented on the incident, revealing that he had to check what sovereign meant.
