Many online were wondering what was the fate of former Sengkang MP Mr Ng Chee Meng when he had lost his parliamentary seat in Sengkang.

Good news was reported when PM Lee had said that Mr Ng will keep his position as Singapore’s labour chief and Unionist had mentioned that he was independently elected by the NTUC.
But an analyst had played with the idea that Mr Ng may venture out of NTUC to gain more coporate experience and returning to the political scene at a later time.
It was also reported that most unionist and analysts believed that Mr Ng will still be able to work efficiantly in his role even if he was no longer an MP.
