OVERTURNED VAN FOUND ON CTE, BUT DRIVER WAS MISSING WHEN POLICE ARRIVED

A van was found overturned on the CTE on New Year but when the police arrived, the driver of the upside-down vehicle was nowhere to be seen.

The Singapore Police said that they were alerted to a van that had been overturned after what was believed to have been an accident.

When the police arrived at the scene at around 4.35am, along CTE towards the AYE, the driver was no longer at the scene.

They conducted checks and found nothing suspicious inside the van.

A video then emerged online showing the police, the K-9 Unit, police vehicles, enforcement officers as well as a tow truck at the scene.

Traffic on the expressway also slowed down almost to a halt near the accident site.

At the time of writing, police investigations are still ongoing.
