A video emerged online showing a group of about 3 passers-by helping a bunch of police officers subdue a man who was resisting arrested somewhere along Yishun.
A man wearing a white t-shirt was seen in the video trying to help out the two officers in controlling a man who was being restrained in the initial moments of the recorded footage.
Subsequently, two other men were then observed sprinting from the nearby traffic junction towards the altercation.
These two individuals promptly joined forces to assist in restraining the man who was being apprehended.
Despite continued resistance from the arrested individual, he eventually appeared to be overwhelmed and ceased struggling after a few seconds.
Once the man was effectively pinned down, the person in the white t-shirt retrieved a baton that had fallen to the ground and returned it to one of the officers.
In a gesture of gratitude, the officer extended a pat on the arm of the individual before departing from the scene.
The other two members of the public were seen crouching beside the arrested man.

The Singapore Police Force said that they encountered a 40-year-old man lying on the ground at the junction of Yishun Avenue 9 and Yishun Ring Road on June 5, around 2:30pm.
Despite officers’ attempts to aid the man, he exhibited aggressive behavior and disregarded their instructions.
As a result, the officers resorted to using necessary force to restrain the man, ultimately arresting him for employing criminal force to obstruct a public servant from performing his duties.
The arrested individual was then transported to the hospital while conscious.
At the time of writing, police investigations into the incident are currently underway.
The police expressed their gratitude towards three members of the public who provided assistance in managing the incident.
