Title: “Physical Altercation Erupts Between Thai Transwomen and Israeli Men Over Deposit Dispute in Pattaya”
A chaotic scene unfolded on Pattaya Beach Road early on May 19, as a group of Thai transwomen and two Israeli men became embroiled in a physical confrontation over a deposit related to a sex service. The incident, which was captured on video and quickly went viral on Thai social media, highlights the tensions that can arise in the bustling tourist hotspot.
According to reports, the altercation began around 2:30 a.m. outside the Baywalk Residence. The footage shows at least five transwomen attacking one of the Israeli men, who was wearing a black T-shirt, while his friend, dressed in elephant-patterned attire, attempted to intervene. Despite the man’s efforts to defend himself, he ultimately fled the scene, with both men running away as the transwomen pursued them, one reportedly shouting, “The black shirt! The black shirt!”
The incident was caught on camera
Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with bystanders trying to assist the transwomen in stopping the two men, who managed to disappear from view before the video concluded. Officers from the Mueang Pattaya Police Station arrived shortly after the incident began and detained all parties involved.
One of the transwomen recounted to the police that the Israeli man in the black shirt had approached her for a sexual service, agreeing to pay a deposit of 1,000 baht. However, the situation escalated when his friend later demanded the return of the deposit. When she refused, the men allegedly attempted to grab her bag to retrieve the money, which led to the physical confrontation.
A 35-year-old hotel worker named Thanadon witnessed the altercation and reported that the Israeli men sought refuge in the hotel to escape the group of transwomen. He observed one of the transwomen chasing them while wielding a wooden stick. One of the men managed to reach an elevator, while the other was caught by the group.
In a desperate attempt to assist his friend, the man who escaped into the lift returned with a rock, ready to confront the transwomen. However, the group ultimately fled back to the beach road.
Based on witness statements, police have charged all individuals involved in the altercation for participating in a physical confrontation involving three or more people. Under Thai law, this offense carries a maximum penalty of one year in prison, a fine of up to 20,000 baht, or both. The incident serves as a reminder of the complexities and potential dangers that can arise in the vibrant nightlife of Pattaya, particularly in situations involving disputes over services.
