Scam victim 1:

I was contacted by this person on Telegram asking if i was interested in a job and asked if it was ok if her client contact me directly through WhatsApp.

This person called Shi Hui contacted me and told me about the job. She told me she was from Moni pte ltd” and they needed people to help her submit an order to boost the client website. At first i used her account and submit the order and when I faced a recharge “boost” item she would top up her account and at the end of 30 orders she would receive 5% commission. She also added me to this WhatsApp group where there was two new guy added in too, Ong and Bernard where they also successfully withdrew the amount. During recharge, I was asked to contact their Moni customer service and she gave me a number.

The first day I got my recharge amount and the commission back but on the 2nd day. The recharge amount got larger and eventually, I realised I got scammed.

Scam victim 2:

Saw this easy packing job such as fold boxes or pack buttons. Contacted the number in facebook. The person shared videos on how to pack the items and the varies payment when you accomplished a task. If u finish 2 task u get reward $340. The catch is, you need to pay deposit of $100 or $140 vip. $100 only allow you lower pay out jobs and no choosing task. $140 is higher paid and you can choose and have priority to the job. Kept asking if i am able to accept making payment for deposit before he continues. Deposit will be refunded upon completion of 2 tasks. The moment i said not comfortable, he rudely told me to continue finding free jobs and block my number.

The items that you pack are cheap- paper boxes, folding envelope, buttons, ziplock, beads. These are less than what you would have paid $100 minimum as deposit. They may probably deliver to you the goods and disappear without collecting your finished task. By then too late to realise you have been scammed. Which job requires one to make deposit first before starting?
