A 28-year-old man was sentenced to 11 weeks of jail and fined $7,000 after he was found guilty of insulting the modesty of 2 women and the possession of several obscene content materials. 3 other charges that involved 2 other women were taken into consideration during his sentencing.
Between May to September 2017, the man had recorded 3 of his female friends and 1 of his female tenant while they were in the shower with a pen camera. The 4 victims were aged between 21 to 26 years old were staying with him at that time.
After being caught, he told the police that he took the videos just for fun. It was reported that 1 of the victim was his friend of 7 years. He took her video when she came to his home for a meeting with a few others.
According to the law, for each count of insulting a women’s modesty, the man could be jailed for up to a year, fined or both.
