WF Chan created a petition recently to gather signatures in support to show that Singaporeans are ready for a non-Chinese prime minister.

To date, the petition has amassed a total of more than 32,000 signatures. There were many people who left comments that they were ready to accept a non-Chinese prime minister.
Here are some of the many comments that were posted.
- I am ready for a non Chinese prime minister. Many of those around me have expressed similar though I can only stand for myself.
- Its rediculous to say race matters here. Only the grey matters as to how to govern the country matters and he is suitable fr this job. Not only chinese can govern the country Indians can too!
