PETROL STATION STAFF SLAPPED BY MAN FOR TELLING HIM TO WEAR A MASK, POLICE INVESTIGATING

A 55-year-old man is under the investigation by the police for intentionally causing hurt.

The Singapore Police Force issued a statement yesterday, that the police received a notification about 5:50 PM that a female staff member at the gas station on Jervois Rd was slapped by a man. 

Initial investigations revealed that the female staff advised the male customer to put on a mask before entering the store at the petrol station, but the male customer was unwilling to cooperate. The man was emotional and reportedly slapped the female staff.

The police investigation is still ongoing. 

If the crime of intentionally injuring a person is established, he may be sentenced to three years in prison, or fined up to $5,000 or both.
