
A 31 year old woman will be charged in court today (15 June) for various offences pertaining to the operation of pet hotel Platinum Dogs Club.
The 31 year old woman who was the owner of Platinum Dogs Club was arrested last year for animal welfare related offences after the facility was raided by authorities following several complaints from customers when their dogs were mistreated.
The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore raided the facility in Dec 2018. Prince, a sheepdog, died under her care when her owners placed the dog at her facility.
She will be facing 13 charges in total which 9 are under the animal and birds act and the other 4 charges of:
- Lying to a public servant
- Obstructing, preventing, perverting, defeating the course of justice
- Failure to register business
- Abetting furnishing of false information
