A video emerged online showing a petty dispute between two PMA riders at a lift in Canberra, with one of them pressing the lift buttons repeatedly to open the lift doors and stop the other person from going down.
The incident purportedly took place near Canberra Plaza, as the two PMA riders went back at forth at each other while another man pushing a baby stroller was standing at the back, waiting patiently for them to fight finish while he waited for his turn to use the lift.
In the video, the PMA user inside the lift was seen trying to close the lift doors, while the PMA user outside the lift pressed the button to open the doors.
The PMA user inside the lift then tried to close the doors again, but was “foiled” once more by the PMA user outside, who pressed the lift button again.
The man then turned around and appeared to scold the PMA user outside for repeatedly pressing the lift door button, as the short video ends.
Netizens online have reacted to the video clip, asking if the man inside the lift was disabled or able-bodied. However, judging from the similar heights between the man and the PMA user outside, it is believed that both of them were PMA users.
The lift also doesn’t appear to be big enough to accommodate and fit both PMAs inside the lift carriage, and a netizen commented that the PMA user who was inside the lift, had “cut queue” and entered ahead of the PMA user outside, resulting in the petty dispute.
