PMD RIDERS RIDING ON THE ROAD WITHOUT HELMET OR LIGHTS

A video emerged online showing a group of youths riding their PMDs on the roads illegally and without any form of protective gear.

They wear seen riding in the middle of the road without a helmet, and their PMDs didn’t have any lights as well.

The incident happened on 4 December at around 7.36pm, at Seletar North Link.

Active Mobility Act

PMDs are not allowed on the roads in Singapore and it is an offence to ride a device on the road that if is prohibited from.

Persons found guilty of the offence faces a fine of up to $2,000 and a jail term of up to 3 months.
