SINGAPORE — The Singapore Police Force has launched an urgent appeal for information regarding the whereabouts of two teenage girls who have been reported missing, raising concerns among residents in the Pasir Ris area.
The missing individuals have been identified as 13-year-old Daeng Nur’adriani Binte Daeng Muhammad Fairus and 14-year-old El Amrithanjali. Both were last seen around midday on April 27 in the vicinity of Hai Sing Catholic School, located along Pasir Ris Drive 6.
According to authorities, the girls were dressed in their respective school uniforms at the time they were last spotted, suggesting they may have been on or near school grounds shortly before their disappearance. Their sudden absence has prompted a public appeal as investigations continue.
LAST KNOWN SIGHTING NEAR SCHOOL PREMISES
Police stated that the pair were last seen at approximately 12:05pm, a time that typically coincides with school dismissal or break periods. The location, a well-frequented area with regular student and commuter traffic, has made the case particularly concerning due to the lack of immediate leads.
The younger girl was reportedly wearing a dark blue polo shirt paired with a light blue skirt, while the older girl was dressed in a white blouse and a similar light blue skirt. These details have been released to aid members of the public in identifying them.
Cases involving missing minors are treated with urgency in Singapore, especially when the individuals are last seen in school attire, as it may indicate a narrow timeframe in which they went missing.
PUBLIC URGED TO COME FORWARD WITH INFORMATION
The Singapore Police Force has called on anyone with relevant information to step forward. Individuals who may have seen the girls or have knowledge of their movements are encouraged to contact the police hotline at 1800-255-0000.
Alternatively, information can be submitted through the official i-Witness portal, which allows tip-offs to be provided online. Authorities have assured that all information received will be treated with strict confidentiality.
Public cooperation remains a key factor in resolving such cases swiftly, particularly in densely populated areas where witnesses or surveillance footage may provide critical leads.
ONGOING INVESTIGATIONS AND COMMUNITY CONCERN
As investigations continue, the case has drawn attention from the wider community, with parents and residents expressing concern over the safety of young students. The proximity to a school setting has heightened awareness, prompting discussions around student supervision and safe commuting practices.
While Singapore is widely regarded for its strong public safety standards, incidents involving missing youths underscore the importance of vigilance and community support.
Authorities are expected to release updates should new information emerge. In the meantime, the focus remains on locating the two girls safely and reuniting them with their families as soon as possible.
