Police Identify Man Over Alleged Assault Of Elderly Man At East Coast Coffeeshop
A man has been identified by the police following an alleged assault involving an elderly patron at a coffeeshop along East Coast Road.

Incident reportedly began after elderly man patted girl’s head
The incident occurred at a coffeeshop in Roxy Square, where CCTV footage later circulated online.
According to footage shared by the coffeeshop’s wanton noodle stall, the elderly father of the stall’s proprietor appeared to pat the head of a young girl as he walked past a table.
The girl’s father then allegedly approached the elderly man, grabbed his arm and pushed him aside. The elderly man fell to the ground during the encounter.
The footage prompted concern online, with the elderly man’s family saying he experienced significant back pain following the incident.
The family subsequently shared the footage while appealing for information about the man involved.
Police identify man as investigations continue
SPF confirmed that a police report had been lodged concerning the incident.
The police said the man had been identified in relation to an incident involving an elderly man at about 4.40pm on 15 Aug.
However, authorities have cautioned members of the public against drawing conclusions based solely on the circulating footage or online discussions.
