Private Party Turns Crime Scene

According to Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan, Chief of the Subang Jaya Police District, the raid occurred at around 12:30am when the district’s Narcotics Crime Investigation Division (BSJN) moved in on the residential property. Authorities discovered an illegal gathering involving 38 individuals — 25 Malaysians and 13 foreigners — most of them aged between 18 and 27.

Police suspect that the majority of attendees were students from private tertiary institutions. During the raid, four local men aged between 21 and 25 were arrested on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking.

Officers seized 6.5 grams of cannabis and 1.7 grams of ketamine (commonly referred to as ‘K’ in party drug circles) from the scene.

Urine Tests Reveal 12 Positive for Drug Use

All individuals present were detained and transported to the police station for drug screening. Out of the 38, 12 tested positive — nine Malaysians and three foreigners — for illicit substances.

The suspects are currently being held for further investigations under Malaysia’s Dangerous Drugs Act. Authorities are working to determine the source and distribution networks behind the drugs found at the gathering.

This raid adds to a growing list of drug-related incidents linked to private parties and student groups across the Klang Valley.

Public Urged to Report Drug Activity at Private Events

In a public statement, ACP Wan Azlan urged citizens to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities, especially drug use and trafficking in private residences. He stressed that tips from the public are critical in combating the escalating drug problem, particularly among young adults and students.

This case serves as a reminder of the legal risks and health dangers associated with drug use. With authorities intensifying their crackdown on narcotics, individuals — especially students — are warned to stay clear of such activities or face severe legal consequences.
