A Bentley driver was seen trying to force his way into a Red Swastika School in Bedok and trying to run over a security guard at the entrance.
The general secretary of the Union of Security Employees (USE) Raymond Chin, confirmed the security guard seen in the viral incident at the Red Swastika School in Bedok is a member of the union.
They have lodged a police report about the incident, and Chin explained that the incident happened earlier today (11 January) at about 7.30am at the main entrance of the school.
The 63-year-old security officer suffered pain in his right knee and has been given a 3-day MC and is recuperating at home.
USE then released a statement on their Facebook page:
“USE is aware of an incident involving a motorist threatening to run over a school security officer this morning. The attached video has been circulated to us.
The motorist, whose vehicle did not have a valid car label to enter the school, moved his vehicle dangerously even when the officer was standing in front of the vehicle.
USE condemns this act of aggression against our officers and will work with the authorities for action to be taken against the motorist to protect the interests of our officers.”
