POLY STUDENT ADMITS TO FILMING GIRL INSIDE TOILET

20 year old Chan Wei Lun, a polytechnic student, admitted today (July 8) in court to a charge of insulting female dignity.

The prosecution has no objection to let him accept a suspended sentence, the judge asked the prosecution to submit a deferred report.

According to the case, the WhatsApp group and Telegram chat group that the defendant joined at the time of the incident had received sex-related videos, which made him curious, and he was also facing academic pressure at that time.

Chan and the 20-year-old female student studied at the same polytechnic at the time of the incident, and the Chan studied electrical and electrical engineering.

He secretly filmed the girl for about 2 seconds before she discovered the camera.

The girl immediately got dressed and opened the cubicle door, she then saw the defendant hurriedly leaving the toilet. She chased after him and confronted him about the camera.

The girl complained to the college staff, who checked the gallery of Chan’s phone and found the video of her using the toilet.

The school was made aware of the incident the next day.

Defendant’s lawyer pleaded that Chan is young and still studying, and there was still a possibility of reformation.

He also added that the video was not distributed online.
