Facebook user Rebecca Ong recently took to Facebook to voice her shock after a PRC couple who owns a shop at 111 Jalan Bukit Merah allegedly tried to kill a cat as the cat walked into their shop.

Police have confronted him AND HE ADMITTED TO TYING THE CATS NECK AND TYING THE CAT INTO A RICE BAG. HE ALSO SAID HE RELEASED THE CAT AT CENDEX CENTRE.*updateWe have been searching from blk 111 Jalan Bukit merah to cendex centre. Witnesses have said he walked from 111 and disappeared at block 105 area. So far we did not manage to find the cat
Culprit is a china couple who owns a shop at block 111. They recently opened the shop. Their neighbor (an old couple) have been caring for a brown female cat for many years. She has a collar and is well fed. Old couple wasn’t around when this happened as they have closed shop for the day. Cat have walked into their shop today and i presume they are not happy with it and thus deciding to kill the cat.
Witnesses saw the china man BAGGING THE CAT IN A WHITE RICE BAG AND TIED A PLASTIC BAG AROUND CAT’S NECK WHEN IT WAS MEOWING FOR HELP. Nobody there then HAD THE COURAGE TO STOP THEM EXCEPT FOR A PASSERBY ASKING THEM TO RELEASE THE CAT. China man retorted to call the police lah. He also casually mentioned that he want to bring the cat home. (Sic) All these happened on 30 October 2020 8:45pm to 9pm at their shop.
They have a CCTV monitoring their shop and the outside of their shop. With the route china man has taken, there are 2 confirmed police cameras. He walked back 20mins later drenched in sweat. The china couple was seen laughing about it later.
he couldnt have gone far.I will confront him tomorrow morning when he opens his shop. I will also call police tmr to go with me and witness is willing to come forward once police arrive.There is a high chance… the cat is dead by now…. I dont know what to do………
