A PRC national, Chen Benzhong, 45 years old, got charges overturned after flirtatious messages came to light which changed the outcome of the court’s decision.

Chen, who was a photographer was accused of tempting a young woman to go to his home before assaulting her. His charges were overturned and he scaped five years of imprisonment.
The defendant also asked the woman whether her husband was abroad, “Will you not go home tomorrow night?” The woman did not say no, but gave a surprised emoji and said “good night”.
The judge stated that the woman did not say no and the woman still went up to his house. Due to this, the judge overturned his conviction.
