A man from China made the news in Singapore after cheating on his girlfriend with his maid. The man who is not legally married to his long-time girlfriend has a child together.
The couple from China has been staying together in Singapore for more than 10 years. In 2017, both decided to hire the 28-year-old maid to take care of their daughter as they are always busy with work.

The man’s girlfriend only found out about the affair last year. The relationship was uncovered after her daughter said to her “Daddy hugged Kakak”.
The woman then confronted her boyfriend who insisted that he had never cheated on her. It was then she noticed that her boyfriend pays a lot of attention to their maid. It was reported that he even insisted to drive their maid around.
Send her back home
The couple has since fought many times over the way the man treated the maid. The woman then decided to terminate the maid’s contract and send her back home. She even goes to the extent where she sees her enter the departure area at the airport.
The maid pregnant with the man’s child, give birth to a baby girl
Earlier this year, the woman found out that the maid was still in Singapore and even give birth to a baby girl. It was through the agency, the woman learnt that the maid’s work permit has been extended.
Investigated by MOM
It is reported that both the man and the maid has been investigated by the authorities for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act. It is against the law for work permit holders to get pregnant or deliver a child in Singapore. It is only allowed if they are married to a Singaporean or PR with the approval of the authorities.
In any case, if a domestic helper gets pregnant, their employer has the obligation to report it to the authorities.
